Adem Lakkaichi started studying Organic Chemistry at the University of Haute-Alsace in Mulhouse. After getting a Bachelor’s degree in Organic and Bio-Organic Chemistry in 2017, he continued his studies with a Master’s degree in Molecular Chemistry with a focus on Medicinal Chemistry.
He did his first Bachelor’s internship at the Laboratory of Molecular Innovation and Applications in Mulhouse with the aim to synthesis bioactive molecules. His Master thesis was performed at DSM Nutritional Products and was aimed at studying chemical reactions using calorimetric tools.
Adem Lakkaichi joined the Prof. em. Dr. Beat Ernst’s group in November 2019. His work is mainly focused on the Design and the Synthesis of Glycomimetic C-type Lectin Antagonists for Anti-infective Therapy.
