Jan Bolten graduated at the University of Basel as a Master in Pharmacy in 2019 and obtained his federal diploma as a pharmacist in the same year.

He carried out his master thesis project on hepatic protein delivery while coupling hepatotropic viromimetic ligands to model enzymes and investigating their pharmacokinetic profile in the group of Prof. Dr. J. Huwyler in Basel.

In October 2019, he joined the Pharmaceutical Technology research group as a PhD student. His current research interests are focused on zebra fish embryos (Danio Rerio) as an early stage in vivo pharmacokinetic screening tool.
