Jens Casper graduated at the University of Basel as a Master in Pharmacy and obtained his federal diploma as a pharmacist in 2018.

He conducted his master thesis on integrin targeting drugs (“Downmodulation and downstream effect profiles induced by integrin targeting drugs”) in the group of Prof. Dr. pharm Dr. med. Stephan Krähenbühl at the University of Basel in close cooperation with Allocyte Pharmaceuticals AG. He worked in a community pharmacy for 10 months before joining the Pharmaceutical Technology research group of Prof. Dr. J. Huwyler as a PhD student in October 2019. His current work focuses on developing novel synthetic non-viral nanoparticle delivery systems for liver-directed gene therapy.
