Study Planning MSc Drug Sciences

The first year of the Master Programme teaches theoretical basics in lectures, seminars and practicals. There are a total of 7 modules (including 1 Practical Training and 1 elective topic), for a total of 64 credits (cp. overview from Course Guidance).

The second study year comprises the Master's thesis and examination and attendance at 2 seminars (continuation of modules 1 and 2, cp. overview from Course Guidance). First-year courses should be completed before starting the Master thesis.

For the elective courses refer to the Study Regulations (§ 8) and Course Guidance (p. 6) - 15 CP have to be obtained of which 11 credits within study programs offered by the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Basel

The Master thesis is carried out in the 3rd and 4th semester and takes approx. 10 months. It is completed with a written report within this period followed by an oral examination (presentation and colloquium) within four weeks after submission of the written thesis.
