Manuel Kley graduated in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Zürich in 2019. For his master’s thesis, he joined the group of Prof. Dr. Cornel Fraefel and investigated the hypothesis that adeno-associated virus type 2 replication compartments are liquid-liquid phase‑separated condensates. In November 2020 Manuel started his PhD Project in the group of Molecular and Systems Toxicology to study the effects of xenobiotics and oxysterols on 11β-HSD2 and RORγ.
