Dr. Brigitte Fiege
Brigitte Fiege studied Molecular Life Science at the University of Lübeck, Germany graduating with a Master degree in 2008. In 2012 she finished her PhD thesis with the title "Insights into Binding of Attachment Factors and Inhibitors to a Human Norovirus from NMR and SPR Experiments" under the guidance of Professor Thomas Peters at the University of Lübeck. She also accomplished research stays in the group of Professor Stephen Withers at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver in 2007 working on glycosynthases, and in 2009 in the group of Professor Francisco Parra at the University of Oviedo, Spain working on the expression of virus-like particles in insect cells. In September 2012, Brigitte joined the group of Professor Beat Ernst as a postdoctoral fellow. Her main focus is on the characterization of the interaction of Lectins with glycomimetics using NMR spectroscopy
