Katharina graduated 2013 in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the ETH Zurich and received a federal diploma as a pharmacist. For her Master thesis she joined the ETH group for Radiopharmaceutical Sciences. The main purpose of her thesis was the identification of possible targets for imaging exclusively vulnerable atherosclerotic plaques in humans. She started her PhD in April 2014 in Prof. Alex Odermatt’s laboratory investigating interferences of xenobiotics with nuclear hormone receptor function.
