Klara Kiene graduated at the University of Basel and received her license as pharmacist in September 2015. She conducted her master thesis at the Pharmaceutical Technology group of the University of Basel on the formation of a self-assembling chitosan hydrogel and chitosan nanoparticles (“Chitosan – from Shrimps to Drug Delivery Systems. Formation of a Self-Assembling Hydrogel and Synthesis of Nanoparticles via Ionic Crosslinking and Nanoprecipitation”).
In November 2015 she joined the Pharmaceutical Technology group as a PhD student. Her research is focused on Zebrafish xenografts and tumor targeted drug delivery via Polymersomes.
