Blijke Kroezen conducted her studies of Molecular Chemistry at the University of Groningen (the Netherlands) and graduated in September 2012. She executed her Master thesis on the structure-based design, synthesis and in vitro evaluation of novel anti-tuberculotic drugs in the group of Dr. Anna Hirsch. During her Master studies, she also spent 4 months in the group of Prof. Dr. Jean-Marie Lehn where she worked on the development of biodynamers using bifunctional monomers. In February 2013 she joined the group of Prof. Dr. Beat Ernst and started her Ph.D. studies based on the Siglec-8 project.
