Claire Jessica Wilson
Jessica C Wilson was born and grew up in Northern Ireland. In 2005, she received her BSc Honours degree in Reproductive Biology from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. After her degree she worked in the Veterinary Sciences Division of the Agri-food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI) in Northern Ireland where she gained an interest in the field of epidemiology. She returned to the University of Edinburgh in 2007 and completed a MSc in Public Health Research in 2008. Continuing her academic studies at Queen’s University Belfast, Northern Ireland, she completed a PhD thesis in Pharmacoepidemiology in 2012 which examined non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug use and cancer risk. She currently works as a post-doc in Professor Meier’s group within the Clinical Pharmacy & Epidemiology Unit. She was recently awarded a European Crohn's and Colitis Organisation Fellowship for 2012.
