MSc Drug Sciences

The Master study program in Drug Sciences was launched for the first time in autumn semester 2016. It provides theoretical and practical training in the discovery, development, efficacy and safety of substances with a main focus on drugs/medicines. It is focused on a future career in industrial or academic research, product development or in a regulatory agency.

The programme of the MSc in Drug Sciences includes 2 semesters of theoretical and practical courses on Fundamentals/General skills, Drug discovery and development, Pharmacology, Toxicology, as well as a Practical Training and Elective Courses (click here for curriculum). The 3rd and 4th semester is dedicated to the Master's thesis project. 

All courses are held in English (no additional requirements concerning language attests are necessary, but compare language skills regulations).

To be admitted directly, you must have completed a Bachelor in Pharmaceutical Sciences from a University that is recognized as equivalent by the University of Basel. Bachelor degrees from all other Universities and with other University graduations will be reviewed by the Study Commission for the equivalence of their content (cp. here for a provisional overview for requirements from certain other disciplines).

Ready for starting in autumn semester 2017? Your application must be submitted online between 01/02 - 30/04/17 (commencement of the Master's course in spring semester is excluded).
