MSc Drug Sciences
The Master study program in Drug Sciences was launched for the first time in autumn semester 2016. It provides theoretical and practical training in the discovery, development, efficacy and safety of substances with a main focus on drugs/medicines. It is focused on a future career in industrial or academic research, product development or in a regulatory agency.
The programme of the MSc in Drug Sciences includes 2 semesters of theoretical and practical courses on Fundamentals/General skills, Drug discovery and development, Pharmacology, Toxicology, as well as a Practical Training and Elective Courses (click here for curriculum). The 3rd and 4th semester is dedicated to the Master's thesis project.
All courses are held in English (no additional requirements concerning language attests are necessary, but compare language skills regulations).
To be admitted directly, you must have completed a Bachelor degree with 180 credit points that is equivalent to the Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Basel (Bachelor degrees from other Universities and with other University graduations will be reviewed by the Study Commission for the equivalence of their content).
Ready for starting in autumn semester 2017?
Your application must be submitted online between 01/02 - 30/04/17. Joining the Master Degree Programme is only possible in the autumn semester (commencement of the Master's course in spring semester is excluded).
