Call for Speakers – Science Lunch

We are currently looking for speakers for our monthly Science Lunch!
A great opportunity to share research projects between the Biozentrum and Pharmazentrum.
Relaxed atmosphere and connect with your peers.
The event takes place once a month, on a Wednesday (date flexible),
The speaker gives a 20-minute presentation, followed by a Q&A session.
Enjoy free pizza and French fries!

Introduction to R course (27-29.01.2027)

January 27-29, 2027 at the Pharmazentrum (room number - TBA).
runs every day from 9 am to 5.00 pm with Gipfeli, coffee and lunch included.
Learn the essentials of coding and data analysis using R and RStudio. From setting up projects and managing data to key programming essentials such as loops, conditionals, and functions. You'll gain practical experience in cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing your data.
Earn 1 credit point and a certificate

TriRhena Metabolism Club, IGBMC, 23rd October

Bringing together researchers from Basel, Freiburg, and Strasbourg
Exchange ideas and discuss recent advances in cellular and systemic metabolism, from basic research to clinical applications.
At IGBMC on October 23, 2026, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.
Participation is free of charge, but registration is required.
We particularly encourage PhD students and early-career researchers to contribute by submitting an abstract for a 20 min talk.
