Anna Bollinger graduated from the University of Bonn, Germany, obtaining her master’s degree in Drug Research from the Department of Pharmacy in 2021. Through a mentorship in the research group of Prof. Dr. Ulrich Jaehde, she specialized in the disciplines of clinical pharmacy within the master’s program. Her master’s thesis was conducted at the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg, Germany, at the Department for Infections and Cancer Epidemiology.

In 2022, she joined as a PhD student the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Basel, Switzerland. Her PhD research focuses on Pharmacogenotyping as part of personalized medicine in clinical practice, investigating the impact of drug-gene-interactions on drug response improving drug safety and efficacy.
