Carmen R. Cori Calizaya graduated in chemistry in 2016 at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA), Argentina. In 2022 she obtained her PhD, under the guidance of Dr. Carola Gallo-Rodríguez at CIHIDECAR (Center of Carbohydrates Research) at the Department of Organic Chemistry, UBA. During her PhD she worked on strategies and synthesis of complex oligosaccharides isolated from Trypanosoma cruzi, and derivatives.

In April 2023 she joined the Molecular Pharmacy group at the University of Basel as post-doctoral fellow working under supervision of Dr. Rachel Hevey. The project research focuses on the development of glycan-based antimicrobial therapies.
