Chiara Pratesi graduated from the University of Trento, in Italy, with a Master in Cellular and Molecular Biotechnology in December 2024.

Previously, she performed her Bachelor thesis in the Structural Biology Group of Prof. Federico Forneris at the University of Pavia, and a summer internship in the DEL Technology Group at ETH, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jörg Scheuermann.

She conducted her Master thesis “Display Methods against Complement Component C3b:
For Identification and Development of Novel Peptide Complement Inhibitors” in the Molecular Pharmacy Group at the University of Basel, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Daniel Ricklin.

In February 2025, she started her PhD in the Molecular Pharmacy Group. Her research focuses on the discovery and development of peptidic complement modulators through the application of screening and display technologies.
