Claudia Lotter graduated from the University of Basel as a Master in Nanosciences in 2020. She carried out her master thesis project on lipid-based nanoparticles for improved cell transfection in the group of Prof. Dr. J. Huwyler at the University of Basel.

In October 2020, she joined the Pharmaceutical Technology research group of Prof. Dr. J. Huwyler as a PhD student.

Her current research interests are focused on designing lipid-based nanoparticles for the treatment of a monogenetic liver disease.
