Cornelia Schneider is a health data scientist at the Basel Pharmacoepidemiology Unit. She has a PhD in pharmacoepidemiology and a background in molecular biology and epidemiology, she gained during her studies in Germany, Scotland and here in Basel and while working as a research fellow in gender medicine at the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute.
Her current research interest lies at the interface between diagnostics, prevention and treatment, and the combination of biomedical, pharmaceutical, and digital knowledge to advance health. Current research includes:
She teaches epidemiology at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Basel as well as gender medicine and digital health topics at the Zürich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) and supervises PhD and MSc candidates.
