Daniel Krüerke obtained his Ph.D. in physical chemistry at the Technical University of Berlin under Prof. Dr. G. Heppke. He completed postdoctoral research at Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg (Prof. Dr. S. Lagerwall), and at Kent State University, USA (Prof. Dr. A. Jakli). From 2001 to 2007, he worked in industrial research and development at Forth Dimension Displays in Scotland. Since 2008, he has been working in the clinical research department at the hospital Klinik Arlesheim, which he headed from 2010 to 2022. In 2022, he became head of clinical research at the Cancer Research Society in Arlesheim. Since September 2025, he has also been working as a part-time research assistant in Prof. Dr. J. Huwyler's group. His research interests include soft matter physics, pharmacy, optics, nanotechnology, and integrative medicine.
