Melanie Guercio completed the Fachmaturitätsschule after her compulsory education and graduated in 2008 with a focus on Communication and Media. She subsequently completed a commercial apprenticeship with a vocational baccalaureate in advertising agencies at the KV School in Basel, graduating in 2011.

In 2012, she worked as a Flight Attendant for Swiss International Air Lines, where she further developed strong communication, service, and problem-solving skills in an international and fast-paced environment.

She then gained professional experience in administrative and commercial roles, including positions as an Executive Assistant at a regional energy provider and in an architecture firm in Basel. After a short maternity break, she worked for a well-known facility management company in reception and administration.

Melanie Guercio obtained her certificate as a vocational trainer for commercial apprentices from the Office for Vocational Education and Career Guidance. She also holds several language certificates, including the First Certificate in English, DELF B1 (Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française), and the Diplôme de Français Professionnel – Secrétariat (B2). In 2013, she completed the continuing education program Français des affaires (FDA) at the University of Applied Sciences for Business.

In addition to her commercial career, she obtained a pedagogical qualification as a playgroup leader in 2023.
