Micheline Sarbach grew up in the Valais Alps of Switzerland. To pursue her studies in pharmacy, she moved to Zurich, where she graduated from ETH Zurich and obtained her Swiss federal diploma as a pharmacist in 2022. She subsequently worked for one year as a community pharmacist, further consolidating her clinical experience before starting her PhD.

During her Master’s thesis at the University Children’s Hospital Zurich, she developed a strong interest in patient-centred care and clinical research.

In her current PhD research, she focuses on personalized medicine, with a particular interest in investigating how pharmacogenetic information may influence patients’ medication adherence. As part of her PhD project, she spent three months conducting research at King's College London, where she further developed her expertise in behavioural research.
