Sarah Peláez graduated in Life Sciences with major in Molecular Technologies from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) in 2017. Her Master’s Thesis at Lonza Drug Product Services in Basel focused on various aspects of container closure integrity (CCI) and CCI test methods for parenteral drug products.

Following she worked at Lonza as a scientist in the packaging and particle lab, and later also in quality control to support phys./chem. stability testing of biologics. Afterwards she worked in the preclinical research group within the company Zeller & Söhne AG.

In September 2021 she joined Prof. Dr. Huwyler’s research group as an external PhD student working at Ten23 Health, a newly founded CDMO in Basel. Her research is focusing on stability and quality consideration for the use of disposables in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
