Tamino Zappalà was born on August 21^st, 1994, in Basel, Switzerland. In 2019 he graduated from the University of Basel, Switzerland, and obtained the MSc in Pharmacy and the Swiss Federal Pharmacist’s Diploma. Following graduation, he worked in a community pharmacy for more than half a year.

In September 2020 he joined the Basel Pharmacoepidemiology Unit at the University Hospital Basel as a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Christoph R. Meier. He is currently working with data from the Swiss health insurance system.
