Valerio Taggi obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Pavia, IT, and his Master degree in Human Nutrition at the University of Pisa, IT. In 2021, he successfully completed his master thesis at the Wageningen University & Research, NL (in the laboratory of Prof. Sander Kersten), where he investigated the effects of lipids on the inflammatory response of macrophages. In November 2021, Valerio Taggi started his PhD in the Biopharmacy group of Prof. Henriette Meyer zu Schwabedissen, focusing on the establishment and validation of an in vitro model to investigate the role of the organic anion transporting polypeptides OATP2B1 and OATP1A2 at the Blood-Brain Barrier.
