Marlene Rauch was born in Olten, Switzerland, where she still lives today. She graduated as a pharmacist at the University of Basel in September 2006, and then worked for six years at two different community pharmacies. In September 2012, she joined the Basel Pharmacoepidemiology Unit as a PhD student. In November 2015, she completed her PhD thesis on the association between drugs used to treat neuropsychiatric disorders and new-onset of epileptic seizures. Since then, she has continued working in the research group of Prof. Meier as a PostDoc, and also works as a guest lecturer of pharmacology at Bern University of Applied Sciences, Division of Health.
