The Master study program in Drug Sciences (MSc in Drug Sciences) was launched in 2016. It provides theoretical and practical training in the discovery, development, efficacy and safety of substances with a main focus on drugs/medicines. It is focused on a future career in industrial or academic research, product development or in a regulatory agency.

Curriculum:
The programme includes 2 semesters of theoretical and practical courses on Fundamentals/General skills, Drug discovery and development, Pharmacology, Toxicology, as well as a Practical Training and Elective Courses (click here for the program guidelines). The 3rd and 4th semester is dedicated to the Master's thesis project.
Application
Your application has to be submitted online between 01/02 - 30/04/ of the year you want to begin your studies. Joining the Master Degree Programme is only possible in the autumn semester.
Admission:
To be admitted directly, you must have completed a Bachelor degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from a Swiss University. Holders of a Bachelor degree from a Swiss University can be admitted with additional requirements provided that at least 120 credit points (ECTS) have been documented in one or more of the following fields of study: Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Human Medicine, Veterinary Medecine, Pharmaceutical Sciences and provided that not more than 60 credit points of core competencies out of the Bachelor of Sciences of Pharmaceutical Sciences are missing. Holders of a Bachelor degree in the before-mentioned fields of study from a recognized foreign University may apply and the Teaching Commission shall examine the equivalence with the corresponding qualifications/prerequisites.
Language requirements:
All Drug Sciences courses are held in English. However, prerequisite courses are held in German.
