Annual Research Meeting 2025
The Annual Research Meeting (ARM) of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences took place on February 6.
During the day, speakers from all disciplines represented in our department gave insights into their latest advances, ranging from basic research to the patient's bedside.
To kick off the conference, Prof. Dr. Ellen Fritsche from the Swiss Center for Applied Human Toxicology (SCAHT) presented her work on new methods (NAMs) to improve the safety assessment of chemicals and pharmaceuticals. This was followed by presentations from Alessandra Cavegn, Linnéa Wälti, Alessandro Stumpo, Jan Thomann, Matthew Masters, Leila Potzel, Julia Müller, Francesca Sellitti, Seraina Moser, Marietta Roth, Malik Rakhmanov and Jannes Felsch, which led to fruitful discussions with the audience. Kevin Hütten from the Basel Pharmacy Museum took us on a journey through time into the history of mortars in pharmacies and their use in the 18th century.
Between the lectures, participants were able to socialize and enjoy even more science at one of the 32 posters presented.
