Internationally renowned scientists from academic research and industry are invited by the department to give lectures on specific projects in the field of pharmaceutical research & development. The spectrum of topics is broad and covers the entire value chain in pharmaceutical research and development from target identification to clinical phase IV.

Once per year, the entire scientific staff as well as other people from the technical staff of the Department gather for a research day. An invited keynote speaker gives an overview on a hot topic, followed by short presentations of all research groups on current research projects. The Pharmacy Museum, the FHNW and the SCAHT are also invited. PhD students and postdocs present posters, and there is plenty of time to get to know each other and to exchange research ideas in a relaxed atmosphere.
