Last week, the University Council of the University of Zurich appointed Prof. Linda Simmler as Assistant Professor with Tenure Track in Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Science of the University of Zurich.

Prof. Linda Simmler has been a member of our Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences since 2023, where she has held a position as an Assistant Professor (NTTAP), funded through her SNSF Starting Grant. She has successfully established her research group and has also made valuable contributions to our teaching. Together with her team, Linda investigates synaptic changes induced by psychedelics in a mouse model.

We are very pleased for Prof. Linda Simmler that her appointment at the University of Zurich offers her ideal conditions to continue and further develop her research in the long term. We warmly congratulate her on this important step in her career and wish her every success in her new position.
