Eventful National Future Day: A look into the world of pharmacy

We welcomed ten inquisitive children to this year's National Future Day. With a varied program, we gave them exciting insights into the fascinating world of pharmacy and the careers that could await them in this field.

The young explorers started the day with the workshop: “How does the ointment get into the tube?” Here they learned how creams and ointments are made and were able to try their hand at it themselves. It quickly became clear how much precision and care is involved in this process.

They then went on a guided tour of the museum under the motto “Rose petals and dragon's blood - discovering ancient remedies”. The children immersed themselves in the history of pharmacy and learned about the unusual remedies that were used in the past to cure illnesses.

In the simulation pharmacy, they became real “pharmaceutical detectives”. In a playful way, they got to grips with how medicines work and are used - an exercise that was both fun and conveyed important information.

The area of computational pharmacy was particularly innovative. With the help of artificial intelligence and virtual reality, the participants were able to experience how modern technologies help to develop new medicines.

A joint lunch was planned for refreshments and to exchange ideas.

The day was not only educational, but also showed us all how exciting and varied pharmacy can be. We would like to thank all those involved and all participants for their great interest and look forward to continuing to inspire children and young people for this important professional field in the future!
