Kevin Baumann received his PhD in Chemistry in 2021 from the University of Cambridge, where his research focused on biomaterial engineering approaches to drug delivery and protein misfolding diseases.
Following his PhD, he held postdoctoral positions at ETH Zurich and subsequently at the Biozentrum. His work was supported by an SNSF Swiss Postdoctoral Fellowship, the Propelling Grant, and a University of Basel Research Fund Junior Research Fellowship.
In January 2026, he joined Prof. Huwyler’s group, where he works on triggered release strategies enabled by DNA nanotechnology.
