Nikiforos Chandrinos graduated with an Integrated Masters in Pharmacy at the University of Patras in 2023. He conducted his thesis in the laboratory of Molecular Pharmacology, where he characterized new direct agonists of soluble guanylate cyclase on vascular cells. After graduating, he undertook a seven-month internship at the Department of Medical Cell Biology at Uppsala University. During this period, he identified and analyzed novel factors in Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm disease and he investigated the gene expression of sncRNAs. He joined the MolSysTox group in June 2024 to investigate the physiological role of 7-oxo-LCA.
