Jannes Felsch graduated from the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg with a master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences “Drug Discovery and Delivery” in October 2022. 

He conducted his master’s thesis “Initiating Proteases of the Complement System: Target Expression, Characterization and Evaluation of Therapeutic Modulators” in the Molecular Pharmacy group at the University of Basel, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Daniel Ricklin.

During his master studies, he participated in research projects in the Pharmaceutical Technology at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Heiko Heerklotz and at the FU Berlin in the field of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jörg Rademann.

In January 2023, Jannes started his PhD in the Molecular Pharmacy group under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Daniel Ricklin. The goal of his studies is to protect biosurfaces from immune-mediated complications by the design, production and application of peptide-based complement modulators.
