Peter Rüthemann graduated in biochemistry from the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Zürich in 2010. In 2017 he obtained his PhD in Cancer Biology focusing on UV-induced DNA damage and repair at the Institute of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology, UZH.

From 2019 to 2021 Peter completed a postgraduate education in bioinformatics and computational biology at the ETH Zürich and University of Basel. Furthermore, he has been working in process development and process validation for the pharmaceutical companies Streuli AG and CSL Behring in Bern.

In 2022 Peter joined the Molecular Pharmacy group as as post-doctoral fellow working on projects that involve both computational as well as molecular biology methods.
