Megan Stierli completed her Master's degree in Pharmacy at the University of Basel in 2023 and obtained her federal diploma as a pharmacist. She carried out her Master's thesis in the Pharmaceutical Technology research group under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jörg Huwyler and focused on the optimization of lipid-based nanoparticles against HER2 overexpressing breast cancer cells.

In February 2024, Megan Stierli joined the Pharmaceutical Technology research group of Prof. Dr. Jörg Huwyler at the University of Basel as a PhD student. Her current research focus is on non-viral gene delivery methods for the treatment of genetic diseases.
