Valerio Taggi obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Pavia, IT, and his Master degree in Human Nutrition at the University of Pisa, IT. In 2021, he successfully completed his master thesis at the Wageningen University & Research, NL (in the laboratory of Prof. Sander Kersten), where he investigated the effects of lipids on the inflammatory response of macrophages. In November 2021, Valerio Taggi started his PhD in the Biopharmacy group of Prof. Henriette Meyer zu Schwabedissen, focusing on the characterization of a cell model and application of a humanized rat model to investigate the role of the OATP2B1 transporter at the blood-brain barrier. After completing his PhD in February 2025, he continued in the Biopharmacy group as a Postdoctoral researcher.
